F45 Orange Pop
On one of many pleasurable trips to Allen Gardens, I came across these lovely orange flowers. Sadly, there was no name tag so I have no clue what they are called.
The sun was shining at just the right angle to capture this beautiful plant.
This is one of my favourites and is hanging on the wall.
If you know the name of this plant please email us and let us know. Thanks

F44 Pink Welcoming
I'm very fortunate to work at the Market. Right around the corner is this wonderful fruit and vegetable stand that also carries all kinds of flowers, both cut and potted.
Sometimes it's very difficult to photograph due to people wandering through and plastic wrappers on the flowers.
When no one was looking, I pulled down the plastic and shot this one, then quickly pulled it back into position. (hehe)

F43 Standing Out
On a very cold day in October I was at EG with some friends doing a shoot when I came across this lovely little flower. It looked so out of place compared to all its friends. It was the only one left standing with petals still in tact.

F42 Passionate Iris
I love going to Nurseries and Green houses to do photo shoots. The flowers and plants always seem so happy and I love sharing in their happiness.
Just as I arrived at this beautiful Iris a bee flew out from it's centre. I was wishing I had shown up just moments earlier but alas, that shot was not meant to be. :(
I did add a vignette to this photo to make the Iris pop out.

F40 Flying Orchid
Humber nurseries had such great orchids. Took this one looking down at it and loved how it turned out. Looks like it's getting ready to fly away. :)

F39 Black Pansy
I love Pansies and this black pansy found it's way home with me after a photo shoot.
This pansy is so purple it looks black. The photo is not altered other than a bit of cropping.

F35 Early Morning
Not long after dawn, I was out for a stroll to see what I could see. The sun had just embraced this flower.

F34 Rustic Mum
Chrysanthemums are such a delight. With so many varieties and colours, there's always one you're going to enjoy. The unique colouring of this mum really spoke to me.

F32 Sideways Glance
I love taking photos from different angles and seeing what looks best. I must have taken six different angles of this flower. Love this one best.

These lovely white Kalanchoe were in an exquisite floral basket. I took many shots of the different flowers and plants but these three really spoke to me.

F28 Sun Lover
It's always a wonderful day when I can visit the greenhouse, but this particular day was early morning and there was a sense of excitement in the air to see the sun after a few days of dark clouds and rain.

F23 Lily Explosion
The right angle and the right amount of light allowed me to capture all the other underwater plants along with this striking Water Lily.

F21 Reaching Up
This is definitely a case of where the internet does not do this striking Hibiscus any justice. It's quite beautiful in person but you really cant see that online.

F20 Awaiting Glory
I love this cactus. The sun was highlighting the top of the plant when I got there and thought it would be interesting to focus on that instead of the purple bloom.

F19 Jade Vine
I love this flower. It's called a Phillipine Jade Vine and it's part of the Bean family. I entered it into the Green Party of Ontario's 2012 calendar contest and it won. It sits proudly in the month of July along with another photo I entered.
